Adjusting Skid Shoe Height - Park machine safely, supporting tiller in raised position with blocks or jack stands. Loosen nut on pivot bolt. Remove nut, lockwasher and bolt. Adjust skid shoes on both sides to same depth: Lowered skid shoe position for shallow tilling. Raised skid shoe position for deep tilling. Install bolts, lockwashers and nuts. Tighten all nuts.

Adjusting Leveling Board - Some models have two leveling board chains. Install leveling board chain in bracket to raise or lower leveling board to desired height: Lower the leveling board and move the machine forward at slower operating speed for more fine and level tilling. Raise the leveling board and move the machine forward at faster operating speed for more coarse and rough tilling. Install small chain in leveling board chain link and in hole in mast to secure leveling board chain.
