Massey Ferguson 294 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checks

Check the engine oil level. If after checking the engine oil level is low, top it up.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, add recommended volume.

Check engine air filters. Install a new filter elements if necessary.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check idle engine speed, steering system, parking brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 250 hours

Replace engine oil. Engine oil type - SAE 20, 20W. API service classification SE, SF, CC, CA. How much to pour: Engine Oil Capacity - 7.5 qt (7.1 L). After installing a new filter, check that the engine oil level is correct.

Change engine oil filter. Filter part number - 1447048M2. When replace the filter, flushing the housing is necessary. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Check engine primary air filter element. Clean or change if necessary. Air filter part number - 1698684M1.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Service or replace as required. Part number - 1698683M1.

Every 500 Hours

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended fluid type: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30, M-1129. Transmission/hydraulic system capacity: 5.5 gal (21.0 L), Final Drive Capacity - 4.0 qt (3.8 L). After filling, check the transmission/hydraulic oil level with a dipstick.

Steering filter element replacement. Steering filter element part number - 3300901M91. Check the steering fluid level after installing a new filter. If after checking the steering oil level is low, add it. Steering Oil Capacity - 2 qt (1.9 L). Steering Oil Type - Permatran.

Changing hydraulic filter element. Hydraulic filter element part number - 3307250M91. After installation, checking the transmission/hydraulic oil level is recommended. If required, add it.

Replace fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 836218V92. Check injection pump settings.

Front axle oil change. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 4.7 qt (4.5 L), Final Drive - 2.1 qt (2.0 L).

Replace filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Install a new engine primary and secondary air cleaner elements.

Change hydraulic/transmission oil.

Replace hydraulic filter.

Replace steering filter element and fluid.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 15.8 qt (15 L).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
