Massey Ferguson 2220 Service Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily Checks

Check engine oil level. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. When the hydraulic/transmission fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Check engine primary/secondary air filters. Change if necessary.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine speed, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. If damages are found, repair it.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 250 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil - SAE 10W-30, 15W-40. API service classification CD/CF-4. How much is needed: Engine Oil Capacity - 8 qt (7.5 L). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Replace engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: 1447048M2. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is required. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If necessary, add oil.

Inspect the air filter elements and clean if necessary.

Replace steering oil filter. Steering filter part number: 3931422M1.

Replace hydraulic filter element. Hydraulic filter part number: 3555711M91. After replacing the filter element, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Every 500 Hours

Check engine air filter elements. Change if required. Engine primary air filter part number: 3540046M1. Engine secondary air filter part number: 3540047M1.

Replace engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - 836218V92. Check the efficiency of fuel injection pump.

Check fan/alternator belt for wear. Replace if necessary.

Every 1000 Hours

Change hydraulic/transmission oil. Recommended oil type - Permatran, Power fluid 821 XL. How much is needed: Transmission/hydraulic Oil Capacity - 9.3 gal (35 L). Check hydraulic/transmission oil level after changing.

Check radiator coolant. Add coolant if necessary.

Front axle fluid change. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 3.1 qt (3.0 L). Front Axle Oil Type - Permatran, Gear Lube 715.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 10.6 qts (10.0 L).

Inspect all clamps and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
