Ford 1120 Inspection and Maintenance

Ford 1120 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checking

Check motor oil level. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. If the hydraulic/transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Checking air filter element. Change if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine speed, steering, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 100 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil - SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 3.5 qt (3.3 L). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Engine air filter element checking. Replace as required. Engine air filter part number: 86512886.

Clean engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 87300039 / SBA360720020.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Every 200 Hours

Change engine oil filter. Filter part number - 86546623 / SBA140516180. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If necessary, add it.

Change engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 87300039 / SBA360720020. Check diesel fuel pump operation.

Every 300 Hours

Change hydraulic/transmission oil. Oil type - 134D, ATF Dexron II-D, SAE 10W-30. How much to add: Transmission/Hydraulic Oil Capacity - 4.2 gal (15.9 L). After installing a new filter, check that the hydraulic/transmission fluid level is correct.

Replace hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: 9846407, SBA340500990, SBA340500370 (HST). When installation procedure is complete, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. If after checking the hydraulic/transmission fluid level is low, add it.

Change front axle lubricant. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, Gearlube 80W-90. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 2 qt (1.9 L). Steering Oil Type - 134D, Gearlube LS 80W-90. Steering Oil Capacity - 1.9 qt (1.8 L).

Replace the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add new coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 3.7 qt (3.5 L).

Inspect all clamps and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
