Ford 1710 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Inspection

Motor oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking. If transmission/hydraulic oil is too low, add recommended volume.

Engine air filter checking. Install a new filter if required.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine idling, steering, service brakes and hand brake. If you found a problem, fix it.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 100 Hours

Change engine oil. Engine oil type - SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 5.3 qt (5 L). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Check the fuel filter and clean if required.

Inspect engine air filter element. Replace as required. Part number - 84541251.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Every 200 Hours

Changing engine oil filter. Filter part number - 86546613 / E1NN6714BB. Flush the filter housing before the filter element replacement procedure. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If necessary, add oil.

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - 87300039 / SBA360720020. Check diesel fuel pump performance.

Every 300 Hours

Change transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended fluid: 134D, SAE 10W-30. Transmission/hydraulic oil capacity: 6.9 gal (26 L). Add transmission/hydraulic oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Change hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: 9846407, SBA340500990. When installation procedure is complete, check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. Add fluid if necessary.

Front axle fluid change. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, Gearlube 80W-90. Front Axle Capacity - 4.2 qt (4 L).

Replace the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 4.2 qt (4 L).

Check all clamps and hoses.

Check level of battery electrolyte.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel pump.
