Ford 2610 Inspection and Maintenance

Ford 2610 Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily Checking

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking procedure. When the transmission/hydraulic fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Checking air filters. Install new primary and secondary filters if required.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check idle engine speed, steering system, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if necessary.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 300 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended engine oil: SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, 15W-30, SAE 10W. How much to fill: Engine Oil Capacity - 7 qt (6.6 L). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Replace engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: 86546614 or E8NN6714AA. When replace the filter, flushing the housing is necessary. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Inspect engine air filters. Clean as required.

Check the fuel filter and clean if required.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Every 600 Hours

Replacing air filter elements. Engine air filter part number - 84493216 or 86525008, E9NN9B618AA or D6NN9601B.

Change steering oil. Steering oil type - 134D, SAE 10W-30. Steering oil capacity: 1.9 qt (1.8 L). After adding steering oil, check the oil level.

Replace power steering filter. Steering oil filter part number: EDPN3K758A.

Every 1200 Hours

Change transmission fluid. Transmission fluid type - 134D, SAE 10W-30. Transmission oil capacity: 3.1 gal (11.7 L) Dual Range, 2.5 gal (9.5 L) Synchromesh. After adding transmission oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Change hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oil type: 134D, SAE 10W-30. Hydraulic Oil Capacity - 6.2 gal (23.5 L). After change, check the hydraulic oil. Add oil if necessary.

Replace filter element in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter part number: 84518613 or D6NNB486A. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic oil. If required, add it.

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - 84535312 or EDPN9N074AA. Check the operation of fuel injection pump.

Annual Maintenance

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Install new air filter elements.

Install a new hydraulic filter and pour in fresh hydraulic fluid.

Change transmission fluid.

Install a new power steering filter and change steering oil.

Change the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 11 qt (10.4 L).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check and service the battery.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
