Ford 3230 Maintenance Data

Ford 3230 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checks

Motor oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, add recommended volume.

Check air filter elements. Change if required.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idle speed, steering system, hand brake and service brakes. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 300 Hours

Inspect engine primary and secondary air filter elements. Service as required.

Engine oil change. Motor oil type: SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. How much is required: Engine Oil Capacity - 7 qt (6.6 L). After filling, check the engine oil level with a dipstick.

Engine oil filter replacement. Filter part number - 86546614 or E8NN6714AA. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is recommended. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. If necessary, add oil.

Inspect the fuel filter elements and clean if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Every 600 Hours

Replacing air filter elements. Air filter element part number: 84493216 or 86525008, E9NN9B618AA or D6NN9601B.

Changing steering oil. Recommended steering oil type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Steering Oil Capacity - 2.3 qt (2.2 L). Check the steering oil level after filling.

Power steering filter changing. Steering filter part number - EDPN3K758A. Check the steering oil level after installing a new filter. Add steering oil if it is low.

Every 1200 Hours

Changing transmission fluid. Recommended transmission fluid type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Transmission system capacity: 3.2 gal (12 L), 4 gal (15.1 L) with creeper. After filling, check the transmission oil level with a dipstick.

Hydraulic oil changing. Hydraulic oil type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Hydraulic Oil Capacity - 12 gal (45.4 L). Check the hydraulic fluid level.

Replace filter element in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter element part number - 84518613 or D6NNB486A. After installation, checking the hydraulic oil level is recommended. Add oil if necessary.

Change primary and final fuel filters. Engine fuel filter part number: 84535312 or EDPN9N074AA, 47377748 or D8NN9176AA. Check the efficiency of injection pump.

Change front axle fluid. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 5.8 qt (5.5 L).

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Change hydraulic and transmission fluid.

Replace hydraulic filter.

Replace power steering filter and add fresh oil to steering system.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 11.1 qt (10.6 L).

Check all clamps and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
