Ford 3430 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checking

Check the engine oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check hydraulic/transmission fluid level. When the hydraulic/transmission fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Check air filters. Install a new filter elements if necessary.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 300 Hours

Changing engine oil. Engine oil type - SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. How much is required: Engine Oil Capacity - 7 qt (6.6 L). After installing a new filter, check that the engine oil level is correct.

Change engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: 86546614 or E8NN6714AA. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. Add oil if required.

Engine primary and secondary air filter elements checking. Clean as required.

Check engine primary and final fuel filter elements. Service if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Every 600 Hours

Replacing air filter elements. Engine air filter part number: 84493216 or 86525008, E9NN9B618AA or D6NN9601B.

Change steering oil. Recommended steering oil: 134D, SAE 10W-40. How much to add: Steering Oil Capacity - 2.3 qt (2.2 L).

Power steering filter replacement. Steering filter part number - EDPN3K758A. After installing a new filter, check the steering fluid level. Add oil if necessary.

Every 1200 Hours

Change transmission oil. Recommended transmission oil: 134D, SAE 10W-40. How much to add: Transmission Oil Capacity: 3.2 gal (12 L) 8-Speed (8x2), 2.5 gal (9.5 L) 8-Speed (8x8). After filling, check the transmission oil level with a dipstick.

Change hydraulic fluid. Recommended hydraulic fluid: 134D, SAE 10W-40. Hydraulic Fluid Capacity - 8.5 gal (32.2 L). Check the hydraulic fluid level.

Changing hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: 84518613 or D6NNB486A. When the filter element is replaced, check the hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if required.

Replace fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 84535312 or EDPN9N074AA, 47377748 or D8NN9176AA. Check diesel fuel pump operation.

Front axle fluid change. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 5.8 qt (5.5 L).

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Install a new air filter elements.

Install a new power steering filter and pour in fresh steering oil.

Change transmission fluid.

Install a new hydraulic filter and change hydraulic fluid.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filters.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 11.1 qt (10.6 L).

Check all clamps and hoses.

Check level of battery electrolyte.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
