Ford 3930 Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checks

Check the engine oil level. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking. When the transmission/hydraulic fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Checking engine air filters. Change if necessary.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering system, service brakes and parking brake. If damages are found, repair it.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 300 Hours

Inspect engine primary/secondary air filter elements. Service as required.

Check the fuel filter element and clean if required.

Engine oil change. Engine oil type - SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. How much to change: Engine Oil Capacity - 7 qt (6.6 L). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Replace engine oil filter. Filter part number - 86546614 or E8NN6714AA. Flush the filter housing before the filter element replacement procedure. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Every 600 Hours

Change steering oil. Steering oil type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. How much to add: Steering Oil Capacity - 2.3 qt (2.2 L).

Changing power steering filter. Steering filter part number - EDPN3K758A. After installation, checking the steering oil level is recommended.

Changing air filter elements. Engine air filter part number: 81866927 or E9NN9B618AA, D1NN9R500A or D6NN9R500B.

Every 1200 Hours

Change transmission oil. Transmission fluid type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. How much to add: Transmission Oil Capacity: 3.2 gal (12 L) 8-Speed (8x2), 2.5 gal (9.5 L) 8-Speed (8x8), 3 gal (11.4 L) 16-Speed (16x8). Fill with the new transmission fluid up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Change hydraulic oil. Hydraulic Oil Type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Hydraulic Oil Capacity - 8.5 gal (32.2 L).

Replace filter in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter part number: 84518613 or D6NNB486A. Check the hydraulic fluid level after installing a new filter. Add hydraulic fluid if it is low.

Replace engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 87801434 or D8NN9176AA. Check the operation of injection pump.

Front axle lubricant change. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 5.8 qt (5.5 L).

Change filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Replace air cleaner elements.

Change transmission and hydraulic fluid.

Change hydraulic filter.

Change power steering filter and add fresh oil to steering system.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 11.1 qt (10.6 L).

Inspect all clamps and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
