Kubota BX23 Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily Inspection

Engine oil level checking. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check hydraulic/transmission oil level. When the hydraulic/transmission fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Check engine air filter element. Change if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine idle speed, steering system, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Recommended oil - SAE20, SAE30 or 10W-30, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40. Oil system capacity (Kubota D902-E): 2.60 qts (2.45 L). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Replacing engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: HH150-32094. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If necessary, add it.

Change hydrostatic transmission fluid filter. HST filter part number - HHK20-36990. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. If necessary, add it.

Replace hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter element part number - 66021-36390. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. Add fluid if required.

Inspect engine air filter element and service if necessary. Part Number: K1211-82320.

Every 400 Hours

Replace hydraulic/transmission fluid. Recommended hydraulic/transmission oil type: Kubota UDT, Super UDT, or Super UDT-2. Transmission/hydraulic oil capacity: 10.8 qts (10.2 L). After completing the filling procedure, check hydraulic/transmission oil level.

Replacing engine air filter. Air filter element part number: K1211-82320.

Change diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 12581-43012. Check injection pump settings.

Front axle oil change. Front axle capacity: 5.0 qts (4.7 L).

Replace filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Install a new engine air filter element.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil.

Change hydrostatic transmission filter.

Replace hydraulic filter.

Drain water from fuel tank, then replace the fuel filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and refill with new coolant. Cooling system capacity: 3.3 qts (3.1 L).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injection pump.
