Kubota BX23S Maintenance Information

Kubota BX23S Service Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily Checks

Motor oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking procedure. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, add recommended volume.

Check engine air filter element. Install a new filter element if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idle speed, steering unit, service brakes and parking brake. If damages are found, repair it.

Change And Filter Replacement

Every 200 hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type: SAE20, SAE30 or 10W-30, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40. How much to fill: Oil system capacity (Kubota D902-E4) - 3.5 qts (3.3 L). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Replace oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: HH150-32430. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is recommended. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. If required, add it.

Hydrostatic transmission filter changing. HST fluid filter part number: HHK20-36990. After installation, checking the transmission/hydraulic fluid level is recommended. If necessary, add it.

Changing hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: K2581-36520. Check the transmission/hydraulic oil level after installing a new filter element. If after checking the hydraulic oil level is low, add it.

Perform the inspection and cleaning of the engine air filter. Part Number: K1211-82320.

Every 400 Hours

Replace transmission/hydraulic fluid. Recommended fluid type - Kubota UDT, Super UDT, or Super UDT-2. Transmission/hydraulic capacity: 11.9 qts (11.2 L). When the procedure is complete, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level.

Replacing engine air filter elements. Air filter element part number: K1211-82320.

Change diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 12581-43012. Check injection pump adjustments.

Front axle oil change. Front axle capacity: 3.8 qts (3.6 L).

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 3.3 qts (3.1 L).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injector pump.
