Kubota L4060 Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily Inspection

Check the engine oil level. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking procedure. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, fill in new oil.

Check engine air filter elements. Install a new filter if required.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check idle engine speed, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if required.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 100 Hours

Clean engine primary air filter element. Change if necessary.

Service engine secondary air filter element. Replace as required.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings. Oil Type: SAE 80W-90.

Every 400 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type - SAE 20, SAE30 or SAE 10W-30, 15W-40. API Service Classification CC, CD, CF or CJ-4. Engine oil capacity (Kubota V2403-CRE): 8.7 qts (8.2 L). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Engine oil filter changing. Engine oil filter part number: HH164-32430. Clean the filter housing from dirt before replacing the filter element. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. Add oil if required.

Changing hydraulic/transmission oil. Recommended hydraulic/transmission fluid: Kubota Super UDT. Fluid capacity: 45.6 qts (43.0 L). After changing the hydraulic/transmission fluid, check the level with a dipstick.

Replace filter in hydraulic/transmission system. Hydraulic filter part number: HHTA0-37710. When the filter is replaced, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. If necessary, add it.

Change engine air filters. Engine primary air filter part number: TD270-93232. Engine secondary air filter part number: TA040-93220.

Change diesel fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 1J800-43172. Check the correct operation of fuel injection pump.

Change front axle oil. Front axle case capacity: 6.9 qts (6.5 L). Front Axle Oil: SAE 80W-90.

Flush the cooling system and add new coolant. Cooling system capacity: 7.9 qts (7.5 L).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check level of battery electrolyte.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
